At present, there are very few details about Xiaomi's customized chips. Public information shows that Xiaomi's self-developed chips can be traced back to the debut of the Pengpai S1 in 2017, which was first installed in the Xiaomi 5C.

Subsequently, Xiaomi successively launched a series of customized chips, such as the Pengpai C1, which focuses on professional imaging. It is understood that the Pengpai C1 can achieve finer and more advanced 3A processing, adopt a dual filter configuration, and can achieve parallel processing of high and low frequency signals. After the Pengpai C1, Xiaomi continued to make efforts and successively launched the Pengpai P1 charging chip, Pengpai G1 power management chip, and so on.

Lei Jun once stated that Xiaomi's R&D investment in the next five years will exceed 100 billion yuan. In 2017, it invested 3.2 billion yuan, last year's 19.1 billion yuan, and this year it is expected to reach 24 billion yuan.
