Xiaopeng's self-developed chip has been successfully taped out! AI computing power is three times that of mainstream chips

It is revealed that the Xiaopeng intelligent driving chip is specifically designed for AI needs, end-to-end large models, and other applications. It is a central computing architecture chip that supports integrated cabin and driving, with "AI computing power close to the level of three mainstream intelligent driving chips".

The self-developed chip project of Xiaopeng Motors began in 2020, and the current team size is between 200-300 people. The computing power design of this chip is closely related to its implementation in the end-to-end large-scale model of autonomous driving.

In May of this year, Xiaopeng launched an end-to-end intelligent driving model for energy production vehicles, which includes three main parts: neural network XNet, regulatory model XPlanner, and language model XBrain.

At last month's NIO IN 2024 NIO Innovation and Technology Day, NIO Li Bin announced that the world's first 5nm intelligent driving chip, the Shenji NX9031, has been successfully taped out.

Adopting a 32 core CPU architecture and LPDDR 5x memory, the speed reaches 8533Mbps. It is equipped with a high-performance ISP with high dynamic range and 6.5G Pixel/s pixel processing capability, with a processing delay of less than 5nm.
